Plastering

Plastering is an important part of the journey towards your perfect bathroom or wetroom.

As well as providing the perfect base for tiles, fittings, and paint, it also creates a barrier that will protect walls and reduce the chances of water leaks.

Plastering is a skilled job that can take many years to master. Our plasterers have experience working in bathroom environments and can complete the job fast – allowing your project to continue full steam ahead with few delays.

What our plasterers offer

We are happy to plaster small or medium-sized rooms in preparation for our bathroom fitters to do their thing, or for you to complete the work yourself.

Following the removal of your old walls and/or tiles, we strip the walls back to the bare brick or block.

We then use the traditional dot and dab method to fit drywall (or fully waterproof alternatives where needed) and then add layers of plaster that will create an incredibly smooth and polished surface for tiling or painting.

How long until the plaster can be painted?

Most plastered surface are touch dry within a few hours, however they can take up to four weeks to dry fully before they can be painted.

Dry plaster turns from a terracotta shade when wet to a creamy white colour when it is dry.

We build this time into the project and can usually work around the drying plaster to avoid any time delays. Our project managers will ensure that your project takes account of this time during the planning.
